A non-politically correct story of a former soldier suffering from post traumatic stress and trying to live out his life in solitude with his memories of his past losses. His life is changed through chance encounters with old antagonists and the acquisition of new acquaintances. His attitude toward life is altered and he learns that his past experiences don't define him as a man but rather help him survive in a world that he has chosen to alienate himself from. Even though his character begins as dark and lonesome, his underlying sense of humor makes him a character you find yourself relating to on some level. Post traumatic stress is a factor effecting many veterans returning to civilian life and the main character is doing the best he knows how and in no way tries to make light of this affliction. His dedication to his military creed and the conflict with his new life often conflicts with accepted social norms.

Once you pick this book up, you won't want to put it down. Relates to the times this country is in and although politically incorrect it does portray a scenario that could actually happen. Hopefully there will be more books by this author.Product details

The Wanderer; A Walk of Redemption Donald Yerger Books Reviews
I haven't read any book's for years so I decided to start again and to my surprise I believe I made a great choose with this book while reading this in the evenings I had to warm up my supper quite a lot since I couldn't put it down. I really ENJOYED it. I'll be looking forward for the author to write another.
Based on the biography of the author, I believe this work of fiction has a strong non-fiction source of experience which the author was able to vividly depict in this work. It was greatly enjoyable to read and kept me wanting to read more. The characters were relatable, the imagery was well written and the world was well built. It was a relief to see that this work of art could be used as an outlet to convey that which very few truly understand. The struggle of a veteran trying to find a place to belong. Whether that the intent or not, I believe it helped me understand just a little bit better.
very good read, I felt like I was there in the story with him, can't wait to see what he is up next!
Totally enthralling!! Once I finished the book, I felt like I was "missing" people who had become a part of my life!!
This book is difficult to put down. You will get pulled into the story right away. Although not considered politically correct by today's standards, it is relevant to our modern world. If you like action and a darn good story, buy this book.
The story line is very surprising! A definite must read.. The author must have been in the service to know some of the things written. A real hero in our day and age. A compelling story , one I could not put down till finished.
Great read ! Won't regret buying this book !
